(rounded up figure) 3600.00 Paid in Full Lease     Insurance (Home Warranty) and regular     Furniture delivered (beds)     Cleaning supplies     Chairs for kitchen set     Mat for front room, kitchen towels, bath towels, cereal storage containers       Carpets cleaned     Stipend to volunteers     Office rent (for space shared w/Spencer-Majeed Ltd.)--includes equipment rental 250.00 Paid in Full Supplies     Equipment rental     Office supplies, including supplies for Raleigh conference 350.00 Paid in Full Advocacy 500.00 Paid in Full Education 500.00 Paid in Full       TOTAL EXPENSES ____________________ 5200.00   DONATIONS 5800.00   BALANCE __________________ 600.00   NOTES Obviously, the above is not a report as such.  It is a quick overview so that supporters have something. This overview will be revised soon, insha'Allah.    We had a great response this year during Ramadan and received donations to cover all these expenses.   Our bank balance is  $757 with $2,000 in savings (we opened a savings account to put funds in for a rainy day).  Our goal is to have $10,000 in checking at all times and $50,000 in savings at all times plus have our expenses paid in full and on time which is by the 10th of every month, insh'Allah.  We need your help.  We need the other 18 or 19 masaajid and Islamic centers to contribute at their best monthly, we need all Islamic organizations to give at least yearly, insh'Allah and we need at least 100 individuals in this city giving monthly.  At this time we have 48 consistent contributors from metro Atlanta, seven masaajid giving on a consistent basis.  We need everyone to come on board at this time.  This issue affects us all.     As you see we are running to close to the edge.  As we fundraise to get ahead let's remember we need to raise $250,000 to run at a level where can offer consistent service with dignity.  When we meet this budget we can hire three or four full-time staff with salaries to do things such as manage the shelter program, fundraise and manage the Advocacy and Education programs.  We can do this and we can do it in a very dignified manner.  Everyone who supports this organization, please talk to your neighbors, friends, co-workers, etc. and ask everyone to give.  Ask them to give what they can and accept it with a smile.    We want to acknowledge two communities coming on board: Masjid Al Farooq (for the first time as a community) and the Atlanta Masjid for reinstating their commitment to us.  As we learn to work together let us remember that Allah has chosen the Ummah we must learn to live within it in peace, with dignity and striving for justice at all times.  We must begin with ourselves and then we can work toward justice in the community, insh'Allah.   All Imams/Amirs who receive this, please ask your communities to give once a month, insh'Allah.  All organization leaders who receive this try to give as a group at least yearly, insh'Allah.  All individuals try to give $10 per month, insh'Allah.  We have grown in size and are maturing as a group that is respected for what we do by others in our community and on the outside.  Now let's move up a notch and get the funding to deliver services with dignity, hire our own and others who can respect us and build Islamic institutions that our children, grandchildren can receive when we are gone without the burden of starting from the beginning.  Let us leave a legacy of working diligently for peace in the home, community and world.   Let's raise $250,000 by April 2005 to show that Muslims can take care of their own.  We can do this if we only give it to Allah and truly want for others what we want for ourselves, insh'Allah.   This and other financial information will be posted on our web site monthly, insh'Allah.  Visit our site at www.baitulsalaam.net and send any information to our webmaster Na'im AbdurRafi at deencom@hotmail.com that you think we should post on our site, insh'Allah.   We always need money. Always need money.  Every penny, nickel and dime counts and is used wisely.   If your community is not giving to this organization start today.  Just pass the collection box, basket, plate or whatever once a month and ask people to give.  Allah will do the rest.  If you are not giving as an individual just write a check, send money in a card just do something.  Any amount you give will be blessed by Allah and appreciated by us.
