Irfana Anwer is executive director of Karamah: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights in Washington, D.C. Since 1993, the group has been committed to supporting the rights of women in the United States and internationally through grassroots advocacy and activism in collaboration with scholars worldwide. The organization provides legal referrals and direct Islamic legal advice regarding divorce.
